The Product
The system is a 360 degree digital interactive panoramic imaging system designedfor fasttrack street sceneimaging capabilities. The system images up to 700 images per day based on imaging streets/roads at 20 metre intervals.
The system uses up-to-date camera technology based on minimum 8mg pixels. This set up can be changed periodically as technology advances. The camera is interchangeable with no locked-in or out of date equipment.
The camera is mounted on top of an automobile preferably a 'Smart' car as it can negotiate small roads/alleys and maneouvres stylishly through programmed imaging assignments.
Within the auto, intelligent systems allow the operator to control and position image placement on to a Vector (OS) map for GIS (with stand alone images) type file, depending on the application requested.
Upon selection, the file is uploaded into a laptop within the auto. On ce the auto moves the file will scroll automatically to coordinate image placement using Y assignment. Further accuracy of image placement is enhanced by GPS.
Additional functions and controls are stored in the auto to manipulate camera angle, read and monitor activity. All images are stored on a 'flash card' and instantly ready for processing into a 'City Seen' CD/DVD or just stand alone images for uploading to a GIS system.
Features of the finished ViewLogicUK product provides for full rotation of an image (360 degrees up and around) by means of our MaxiViewer intelligent browser. Zoom in/out, adjust brilliance/contrast control. Make measurements within an image. Copy/paste to any document and the ability to move from one image to the other within an image (represents walking along a street). Other features provide for selection/tile-in of address database allowing for instant call-up of image to nearest address and aerial photography.
